Rev. Donna Lockhart
We are an Episcopal and interfaith worship community. We believe that God's love is expansive, not exclusive. We celebrate the sacredness of every person.
We commit ourselves to peace, and social & environmental justice, and our members walk side by side with one another through life's joys and struggles.

David Byrd and his students
The David Byrd Chapel wasn’t constructed by a contractor. It was built by hand — by young African-American men in Ann Arbor, working with donated and salvaged materials under the guidance of architect David R. Byrd. Above the entrance, they carved the words: “The stone the builders rejected.”
It is a significant landmark in Ann Arbor’s African-American history. And it’s where we worship every Sunday.
We offer tours to visitors — you’re welcome to ask.
